Trend Alert: Here’s How To Ace The I’m Cold Makeup Look

It’s on TikTok, it’s on Gram, it’s literally everywhere. There is no escaping the “I’m cold makeup look” that is hitting off the charts and taking over the internet by a (snow) storm! Just picture yourself stepping out in freezing cold and coming back in all flushed and red – this but only a lot more GLAM! Keep scrolling to know everything about this trend and get experimenting until it’s chilly outside.

Step 1: Matte Base

You might have imagined a dewy or glowy base for this look, but we set the base with a matte foundation instead (the glow comes later). Once your foundation is nicely buffed in, take a full-coverage concealer and apply it to the areas of concern. Post that, set the base with some loose translucent powder and place it only in your T-zone, under your eyes, forehead, nose and chin to create a totally matte look. Lastly, spritz some mattifying setting spray to lock everything in place. We want the base to look as matte as possible. But make sure you are prepping your skin well with a hydrating moisturizer and a pore-perfecting primer so that the base makeup does not look cakey.

Products Used:

Ace Of Face Foundation Stick – Full-coverage, matte foundation that stays for up to 12 hours.

Magic Wand Waterproof Concealer – Conceals skin imperfections, dark circles and acne with its flawless high coverage.

Set The Tone Tinted Powder – A finely-milled multipurpose powder that lends a natural, luminous matte finish.

Grand Finale Matte Setting Mist – Locks and seals your makeup for an all-matte shine-free look.

Step 2: Blush Flush

It’s time to gaga because the “I’m cold makeup” look is all about blush. A LOT OF IT. You can layer your pink blush with either a peach or red tint for cutesy frost-bitten cheeks. The trick is to apply both cream as well as powder blushes. Begin with the cream blush, and place it on the apple of your cheeks and blend outwards and upwards almost touching your under-eye area. Then go over with the powder blush and blend it for a ‘sunburnt blush’ kind of look. You know the kind of flush you get when you’ve been out in the cold? We’re trying to recreate that, but only much cuter.

Products Used:

Face FWD >> Blush Stick – A creamy, highly-pigmented blush that blends easily and goes a long way.

Contour De Force Mini Blush – This award-winning powder blush has a velvety formulation that glides on smoothly and lasts an entire day.

Step 3: Glitter Glow

Now is the time to GLOW. A little bit of pixie dust can totally elevate your look. Mimic a frosted look by applying some (or a lot) of glitter on your eyelids, the tip of your nose, the inner corners of your eyes and your chin. You can skip or slay glitter as per liking, but keep in mind that your blush is the highlight of your look. The glitter is there only for a ‘snowy’ effect. Pick a silver or nude shade glitter here and watch how quickly it ties up the entire look.

Products Used:

Contour De Force Eyes And Face Palette – 01 Warm Win – it has a selection of high-pigmented, shimmer shades that are perfect to complement this frosted look.

Step 4: Gloss Boss

To finish off the look, coat your lips in a pinkish-nude lipstick shade. Lightly dab it with your finger for an unrefined, cazh look. Then go over with a high-shine, tinted gloss that gives your lips a mirror-like finish. Another variation to achieve this frost-bitten look is by applying a pink or nude lip liner, thicker than usual, and filling in your lips with a tinted gloss. And that’s the I’m cold makeup look, all done!

Products Used:

Time To Shine Lip Gloss – To get that glossy effect, I have used a tinged gloss here as it adds a fresh vibe and completes the cold makeup look.

Additionally, you may apply a few coats of mascara for some oomph and drama and finish off the look with another round of the mattifying setting spray
